Q: How does it work to send my recyclables with Washmen?
A: Its easy! Leave your recyclables next to your Washmen laundry order. Our drivers will take care of it.
Q: Will Washmen accept recyclables that don’t fit in the Washmen bag?
A: No, we will only accept recyclable items that fit into our Washmen bag.
Q: How many recyclable bags can I send?
A: You can send three recyclable bags with one order.
Q: Where should I put my recyclables?
A: Recyclables should be placed inside the Washmen bags the ones normally used for laundry
Q: What recyclables do you accept?
A: We accept all your plastic and paper waste (i.e. empty plastic bottles, clean plastic containers, clean plastic bags, cardboards, newspapers, flyers etc…)
Q: What recyclables do you not accept?
A: We do not accept food or any organic waste (i.e. plants, fruit peels etc…) We do not accept glass nor tin cans. We do not accept food contaminated plastic items (i.e. plastic dishes and cutlery etc…) Nor contaminated paper (i.e. used toilet paper, used kitchen rolls etc…)
Q: Why do you not accept these items?
A: We do not accept these items because these items can create complexities in the operational rollout.
Q: What happens if these items are in the recyclable bag?
A: Our drivers are instructed to screen the content of the bag, in case these items are found they will refuse to pick up your recyclable bag.
Q: Why do you add AED 1 surcharge on all orders?
A: This surcharge of AED 1 is to support our additional operational costs due to this recycling program. We added this to all of our orders to push all of our customers to participate in this recycling program.
Q: Can I send my recyclables without a Washmen order?
A: Yes, but a minimum order fee of AED 45 will be applied.
Q: Can I opt out of the AED 1 surcharge fee?
A: Yes, you can opt out by simply getting in touch with our customer service team.
Q: What happens to our recyclables once Washmen picks them up?
A: The recyclables will be taken to our facility and placed into a specific container that will be then managed by Bee’ah, our partner in this recycling program.
